Mike is a Central Valley, California native who has been working in the Cannabis industry for 20+ years. In addition to large cultivation projects, Mike has specialized in owning and operating several dispensaries. As the co-founder of Loud Seeds, a multiple High Times Cannabis Cup winning breeding and cultivation company, he has been involved in cannabis cultivation, breeding, and marketing for 15+ years, establishing brands in both the US and Europe.
Norm Mayr is a former audit partner of KPMG in Vancouver, having left the firm in 2016 after 38 years in public practice. In the latter half of his career, he was the Risk Management and Professional Practice Partner for the Greater Vancouver Area practice of KPMG. In this role, Norm was the senior technical partner responsible for consulting with engagement teams dealing with complex financial reporting, accounting, audit and securities matters. During his career, Norm has had experience in the cannabis, mining, forestry, technology, life sciences, retail and industrial markets sectors. He served as lead engagement partner or quality review partner on many of KPMG's largest clients in these industries, including several multinational reporting issuers. He has had extensive experience acting for public companies listed in both Canada and the United States. Norm was a founding member of the CICA Accounting Standards Board from 1991-1994 and a member of the Canadian Advisory Group to the International Accounting Standards Board from 1994-2000. Norm has presented extensively on financial reporting and accounting matters and has been a member and Chair of the Investigation Committee of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia from 2008 to 2018.
Glen Harder is a corporate lawyer and has been a member of the British Columbia Law Society for over 35 years. He advises both public companies and private entities on financing and M&A matters. He is is experienced in shareholder disputes, acquisitions/takeovers, matters of corporate governance and dispute resolution.
Mr. Hybels has provided executive leadership for multi-million dollar construction projects both domestically and internationally; provided strategic leadership to both for-profit and non-profit organizations; and envisioned and built the thriving teams and effective systems necessary to achieve profitable outcomes in each fast-paced, growth-oriented opportunity. He has a financial background, with a focus on calculated, high-risk commodities. Mr. Hybels's insight and initiative were integral in scaling the NGW facility from its early days, to what is now a fully operational premium cultivation facility with a staff of over 60 people.
Matt has spent the last several years guiding companies in emerging industries scale and grow from a financial reporting, treasury, HR, legal and operational perspective. Before joining Next Green Wave, Matt was involved with numerous tech companies of various sizes and international locations, including the State of California. Matt spent the first several years of his career at KPMG where he gathered his base knowledge of financial reporting, tax, compliance, process and control implementation.
